GABRIEL GOYANES.

I am a young researcher strongly motivated to work within interdisciplinary contexts. In the last years I gained experience in the use of new methodologies like drones (multicopter and fixed wings) surveys, shallow drillings, DGPS surveying, temperature sensors, meteorological stations, among others.

I am passionate about everything related to the "drones world" but more precisaly the application of them to improve both the human well-being and data adquisition for scientist purpose. Currently, I´m improving my knowledge in 3D modeling and printing due to the potencial of these methodologies combined with the use of drones. 

​

My latest works were about the Geocryology on the Antarctic Peninsula focused on the permafrost thermal regime and distribution, periglacial geomorphology analyses and geological risk associated to permafrost degradation. Recently, I also extend my studies to the Southern Andes in Argentina where I am analyzing hazardous processes associated with recent rapid glaciers retreat. At these sites I am working with an interdisciplinary group applying different GIS tools.
